Matrix Hotel has begun collecting partially consumed bottled amenities, including shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and shower gel, from guest rooms and donating them to The Mustard Seed Edmonton for use by those in need, in addition to unwanted linen and terry items. The measure is designed in part to actively engage in supporting local community efforts, and in part as an initiative of Matrix Hotel's comprehensive Green Program, to prevent unnecessarily disposing of bottled items that can otherwise be reused and recycled. Unwanted linen and terry items include luxury bedding and towels that are otherwise perfectly fine, but may contain a small tear, fray, or discolouring.
